Tim’s career is dedicated to developing tool sets that automate and educate the landscaping industry. As the President/CEO, Tim presides over the LandOpt team to develop technology and identify best practices that improve customer service. While setting the business direction and overseeing day-to-day operations at LandOpt, Tim’s knowledge of education, technology and the landscaping industry has laid the groundwork for LandOpt’s success.
Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Contracting and a master’s degree in Education from Pennsylvania State University. After graduation, he worked as a contractor planning and designing landscapes. With his experience in landscaping and background in education, he then spent 18 years implementing systems and developing software that supports the landscaping service industry.
As the Manager of License Sales, Alison is directly responsible for adding new licensees by both qualifying and educating landscape contractors on the benefits of the LandOpt Network. Her focus includes regional growth within our existing licensee base, with an eye toward ultimately expanding the Network throughout the United States.
Alison’s background includes regional sales experience and management responsibility for large, global organizations where was tasked with generating new business and achieving targeted growth plans using a consultative sales approach. She was also responsible for the training and management of local and regional sales teams. A Pittsburgh native, Alison attended Robert Morris University.
As the Manager of License Sales, Brian is directly responsible for adding new licensees by both qualifying and educating landscape contractors on the benefits of the LandOpt Network. His focus includes regional growth within our existing licensee base, with an eye toward ultimately expanding the Network throughout the United States.
Brian previously served as Senior New Business Account Executive for a Pittsburgh-based company where his central focus was business development. This included competitive research, strategy development and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through close. He has also acted in a similar sales role within the financial services industry. A graduate of Geneva College, Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) with a minor in Business Administration.
As the Partnership Coordinator, Teri’s focus is on identifying and generating interest among prospective Powered by LandOpt Service Providers. Acting as the sales process initiator, she works closely with both the LandOpt Management Team and the Sales & Marketing Group to educate the Green Industry about the benefits of the LandOpt Network.
Teri has a strong background in customer-focused sales and marketing. Her skills have been honed throughout her diverse career which has included outside sales, small business ownership and management, and tradeshow/events marketing. A native of Wheeling, W.V. she spent a number of years in California and Las Vegas before settling here in Pittsburgh to focus on the growth of the LandOpt Network.
Mike Gaydos has been in the Human Resources field since 1996 specifically within the Staffing, Training and Recruiting areas. While investing 8 years at Linc, a HVAC franchise provider, Mike focused on staffing for over 130 HVAC service locations throughout North America. His duties also included training and development of managers on various subjects including full cycle recruitment, behavior/personality assessments, performance appraisal systems, coaching, time management, and mentoring junior recruiters.
Mike graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management.
With over 20 years of experience in the Green Industry, David supports LandOpt customers with his extensive industry background and management skills. As Director of Success, David delivers products and services to customers, and assists these customers during the product implementation process. Through solid training and mentoring support, David ensures customer success and satisfaction with LandOpt products and services.
David graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science. Throughout his entire career, David filled many roles within the Green Industry. Working as a consultant to various companies, he developed systems to be scalable and repeatable.
With nearly 10-years of sales and management experience, Steve brings a broad knowledge of sales and business trends, along with an ability to develop strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and co-workers. For five-years he dedicated his career to driving new account revenue. As a Success Coach, Steven delivers sales services to our licensees, and assists them during the implementation process. Through solid training and mentoring support, Steven ensures sales success.
Steven graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. His background includes hands-on Green industry experience, having built and managed his own landscaping company. Steve's experience also includes sales management of a regionally based Business Intelligence company, and managing multiple retail outlets.
As a Success Coach, Mark works closely with the Success Coaching team to deliver products and services to the LandOpt Network of Contractors. This includes providing the coaching, training and mentoring support necessary to guide each contractor from the initial kick-off phase through the transformation process. This includes, but is not limited to, weekly PAR calls, monthly site visits and role-specific training in the Pittsburgh training center.
With a background in Sales and Customer Service, Mark is certainly well-suited to his new LandOpt role. He most recently served as the Customer for Life Director for VertMarkets, Inc. where we he was charged with managing a team of sales executives. Prior to being promoted to a sales role within that organization, he held an Account Executive position where he focused on building and maintaining customer relationships. A Pittsburgh-area native, Mark holds a BS in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University.
As a Success Coach, Dan works closely with the Success Coaching team to deliver products and services to the LandOpt Network of Contractors. Among his responsibilities is providing the coaching, training and mentoring support necessary to guide each contractor from the initial kick-off phase through the transformation process. This includes, but is not limited to, weekly PAR calls, monthly site visits and role-specific training in the Pittsburgh training center.
Dan has more than 10 years of sales, client management and technology experience, as well as industry experience garnered when served as a partner in an Atlanta-based landscaping business. He has also held sales, training and account management positions within the insurance, financial services and technology industries. Dan holds a BS in Information Systems from Clarion University.
As the Director, Marketing/Communications, Lori is responsible for leading and guiding all aspects of LandOpt’s internal and external communications. She works closely with the LandOpt team to enhance the current suite of marketing products and services available to the network and, as part of executive management team, provides key strategy implementation and marketing direction input for LandOpt and its network of licensees.
For nearly 20 years, Lori’s career has centered around marketing communications where she been responsible for corporate communications, sales support, strategic planning, advertising, public relations and event management in both corporate and agency environments. She has managed business-to-business communications and promotional efforts for several industrial and service-delivery oriented companies in the greater Pittsburgh area including water and wastewater engineering, medical device manufacturing, environmental engineering, construction and commercial HVAC services. Lori’s seven years at Linc Network, LLC allowed her to hone her skills in a franchise environment where she helped to develop and support marketing and sales tools for a network of more than 130 independent and company-owned mechanical contractors throughout the United States and Canada. An alumna of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in public relations.
In this role, Andrew manages the new product development and existing product enhancement processes, maintaining a focus on enhancing the current product mix as it relates to each of our four pillars: Sales & Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, and Business Systems. His responsibilities extend to maintaining LandOpt’s Confidential Operating Manuals (COMs), the Licensee Center, and all internal LandOpt training materials for existing and newly developed classes and educational resources as they relate to new and enhanced products.
As a previous landscape business owner, Andrew is well-versed in business management, understanding both the daily challenges a company can face and the importance of systems, processes and tools in improving productivity and profitability. Prior to his landscape industry experience, he spent several years in the marketing and advertising agency world where he had significant project management responsibility that involved both strategic planning and the development of print, digital and online deliverables. He holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, as well as a BA in Economics Management from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
As the Executive Office Manager, Becky organizes day-to-day activities, coordinates processes and streamlines procedures to ensure that LandOpt’s office runs efficiently. Along with providing internal administrative support, Becky also communicates with existing and prospective Licensees and assists with LandOpt’s marketing efforts.
A Pittsburgh native and graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Becky spent several years in New York City before returning to her hometown. She brings extensive administrative experience and strong creative skills to LandOpt. In addition to her office management background, Becky’s career has also featured roles in areas such as writing, marketing, public relations and advertising.
Since 2005, John has developed and managed LandOpt software systems that support landscape contractors throughout the country. These systems, which include LandOpt’s Customer Relationship Management and Sales Reporting software, bring custom solutions to LandOpt customers. John also manages business processes that maintain these systems, such as customer training and support.
John earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1988 and went on to earn a master’s degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University in 1990. For several years, he worked as the Technical Manager for Sargent Electrical Company, and then became the President of the company in 1999. While at Sargent Electric, John also served as Executive Vice President for TEGG Corporation, a company that distributes operating systems for electrical maintenance contractors.
As a Solutions Engineer, Randy builds various LandOpt tools for use in the landscaping industry. Specifically, Randy develops and supports the Sales Commission Calculator and the Annual Planning Workbook tool, helping the LandOpt team fine-tune and deliver outstanding automated systems. By providing the best technology for LandOpt customers, Randy enables the landscape service industry to improve business processes and profitability.
Randy graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. After graduation, he worked as a software developer for various companies, including The Bank of New York Mellon. His vast experience in the computer software industry has prepared Randy for his challenging position at LandOpt.
